UConn's quest to repeat as NCAA champion continues tonight as the top-seeded Huskies take on the No. 9-seed Wildcats of Northwestern.

It didn't take much for UConn to advance in its first-round matchup against No. 16 Stetson. All five starters scored in double figures, led by center Donovan Clingan, who tallied 19 points and eight rebounds in the 91-52 win.

Northwestern had a bit of a tougher challenge in the Wildcats' opening game against FAU. The Wildcats forced overtime after a late rally in the second half and outscored the Owls, 19-7, to take the 77-65 win.

Watch out for the 3-point shooters on both sides of the ball in this contest. UConn's Cam Spencer and Tristen Newton knocked down three each in the first round, and Spencer averages 44.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Northwestern's Ryan Langborg and Boo Buie scored 49 points combined against FAU, including seven 3-pointers. Those two both shoot at least 40 percent from that range, as well.

UConn holds the edge on offense and defense. The Huskies score 81.7 points per game and allow 64.1 points — both of which ranks top-20 in the country. Northwestern scores 73.8 points per game and gives up 68.9 points per game.
