UConn is on a roll. The Huskies haven't lost since Dec. 20 and are a full two games clear for the top spot in the Big East.

They'll take on a Butler squad that gave them a bit of trouble the last time they met on Jan. 5. In that game, the Bulldogs led 42-35 at halftime before a second-half surge by the Huskies ended in an 88-81 win for UConn. Forward Alex Karaban led the charge with 20 points for the Huskies, including 4-for-6 from behind the arc.

Butler lost two of its next three games following that loss to UConn but is now on a four-game winning streak that includes a double overtime win over Villanova and a one-point win over Creighton.

The Bulldogs are led by four guards – Pierre Brooks (16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds per game), Jahmyl Telfort (14.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game), D.J. Davis (14.0 points) and Posh Alexander (11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game).

The Huskies also have great guards with Tristen Newton (15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists) and Cam Spencer (15.3 points and 4.5 assists). Karaban averages 14.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

UConn scores 81.4 points per game, which ranks 33rd in the nation but third in offensive efficiency, but third in offensive efficiency, per KenPom.com. Butler scores almost the same amount of points – 81.6 – but has a KenPom offensive efficiency rank of 30.
