The 15-1 Texas Longhorns host the 14-2 TCU Horned Frogs today in an inter-state clash.

Texas opened the year on a 13-game winning streak before it fell to Baylor in the Longhorns final game of the 2023 calendar year, but rebounded quickly with back-to-back blowout victories. TCU opened the season with a 14 consecutive games but dropped its past two matches against Baylor and Oklahoma State.

The Longhorns have the sixth-best scoring offense in the country after they've averaged 89.5 points per game. The only schools to average more points than Texas are LSU, Murray State, Michigan State, Iowa and South Carolina. TCU, meanwhile averages 77.1 points per game – 41st in the country.

Texas is led by its freshman-senior frontcourt of Madison Booker and Taylor Jones. Booker, the freshman, averages 13.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, while Jones, the senior, averages 15.5 points and seven rebounds per game. Junior guard Rori Harmon ranks third on the team with 14.1 points, 7.8 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.

The Horned Frogs have one of the best forwards in women's college basketball in senior Sedona Prince, who transferred to TCU after three seasons at Oregon. Prince averages a double-double per game with 21.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. TCU's backcourt is led by Madison Conner, who averages 21.5 points per game with 5.7 rebounds and three assists.

The key for both squads is managing assists vs. turnovers. Texas and TCU are undefeated when they outperform their assist-to-turnover ratio. Each side has also just last one game when they score more than 56 points.

While Texas's frontcourt duo should be able to contain Prince, the Horned Frogs could have trouble keeping the Longhorns off the glass. Texas averages the 10th-most offensive rebounds per game this season and allowed the fewest defensive rebounds and the second-fewest overall rebounds. TCU, meanwhile, ranks 41st in total rebounds and 117th in total rebounds allowed.
