The Tigers finished 18-0 in the SWAC and have the 16th-most Quadrant 4 victories in the nation.
The tournament features the league’s top eight teams at the conclusion of regular season play.
Grambling State claimed the No. 2 seed while Southern claimed the No. 3 seed in the tournament followed by No. 4 seed Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Alabama A&M is the No. 5 seed followed by No. 6 seed Alcorn State.
Florida A&M and Prairie View A&M claimed the final two tournament bids and will enter the tournament as the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds respectively.
