No. 1 South Carolina looks to continue its march toward perfection against Georgia on Sunday afternoon.

The Gamecocks moved to 24-0 with a 66-55 victory over Tennessee in Knoxville on Thursday. But little came easy, as South Carolina had to erase a three-point halftime deficit. The Gamecocks outscored the Volunteers 18-7 across the final quarter to pull away.

Senior forward Kamilla Cardoso returned from a two-game absence and poured in a powerful 18-point, 10-rebound double-double. Cardoso had been away from the team while playing for the Brazilian national team in the FIBA Olympic qualifying; evidently, though, she hardly missed a beat while away from the team.

The Bulldogs (11-13) sit in second-to-last place in the SEC with a 2-9 conference mark. They have dropped nine of their last 10 games, including a 61-55 defeat to Vanderbilt last Sunday.

Senior Javyn Nicholson continued her strong season with a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double against the Commodores. Nicholson is now averaging career highs in points (15.5) and rebounds (9.0), but the 6-foot-2 forward will have her hands full against Cardoso and South Carolina's stout interior.

This is the first and only matchup scheduled between the two teams this season.
