JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.— East Tennessee State has announced the additions of Peter Jurkin from Indiana, Alex Bates from Tennessee State and Tommy Williams from East Georgia State College.

Bates and Williams will be eligible to play for ETSU immediately. Jurkin, a 7-foot center, must sit out the 2014-15 season due to NCAA transfer rules before playing for ETSU in 2015-16.

Jurkin played three games for Indiana in 2012-13 and eight games in 2013-14. In a school release Wednesday announcing the moves, ETSU coach Murry Bartow said that "in my 11 years here at ETSU, we've never had anyone like Peter in our program."

Bates, a 6-9 forward, played 10.7 minutes per game for Tennessee State last season. Williams, a 6-5 wing, averaged 12.5 points per game for East Georgia State College last season.
