The madness may be ending, but it's set to do so in grand fashion.
For the first time since 2021, two No. 1 seeds will meet in the championship game, as UConn battles Purdue.
The Huskies are on the verge of back-to-back national titles, having compiled another dominant season after winning it all last year. UConn has won all five of its NCAA Tournament games by double-digits, thrashing good teams in the process.
Purdue, meanwhile, is on the doorstep of total redemption: The Boilermakers, after losing to No. 16 seed Farleigh Dickinson in the first round a year ago, are just one win away from a national title. And it may be a small sample size, but the only other team to lose to a No. 16 seed, Virginia, won the national championship in the ensuing NCAA Tournament.
Will Zach Edey and Purdue complete their feel-good story? Or are Danny Hurley's Huskies simply too dominant?
DeCOURCY: No. 1 UConn vs. No. 1 Purdue stands as one shining matchup to decide it all
