Fifth-ranked North Carolina State plays a pivotal ACC matchup when the Wolfpack host No. 16 Louisville on Monday.
It is the 19th annual “Play4Kay” game, named in honor of late Wolfpack Hall of Fame coach Kay Yow to raise money for cancer research and honor cancer survivors. Yow died in January 2009 after a lengthy battle with cancer. The game is already sold out and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
N.C. State took down in-state rival and No. 24 North Carolina 63-59 on Thursday night. Aziaha James led the Wolfpack by scoring eight of her 10 points in the fourth quarter. The Wolfpack held UNC scoreless in its final seven possessions over 3 1/2 minutes.

The Wolfpack have won 13 consecutive games at home and six straight in the ACC at Reynolds Coliseum. N.C. State also won its last five home games against the Tar Heels in a streak that started in January of 2020.
Louisville is also on a roll and improved to 12-0 at home with an 81-60 victory over Syracuse on Thursday.
The Cardinals are the only program with a winning percentage of .800 or greater in ACC play over the last 10 seasons. They have nine more conference wins than the second-best team during that span.
Louisville has firepower on offense and is led by Kiki Jefferson (13.2 points per game) and Olivia Cochran (11.3 ppg) who also leads the team with 6 rebounds per game.
