Does NC State star DJ Burns know he's one of the most popular people in America? The answer seems to be yes.
Burns had all kinds of fun on social media after the Wolfpack knocked off Duke to complete a stunning run to the Final Four on Sunday. After the win, Burns hit Blue Devils freshman Jared McCain with a jab on Instagram
Burns posted a video of McCain unsuccessfully leaping in front of DJ Horne, who then side-stepped and made a 3-pointer with McCain nowhere near him. The video also superimposed a TikTok featuring McCain dancing.
"All love tho we just having fun," Burns tweeted about posting the video.

McCain was an easy target after Duke's loss, as he has 2.7 million TikTok followers and posted a video of himself and his teammates dancing in the locker room after the Blue Devils took down Houston in the Sweet 16. On Sunday, it was NC State's turn to dance all the way to Arizona for the Final Four.

Burns made sure to soak in the moment Sunday, as video captured him telling Duke fans, "Your season is over" near the end of the game. Burns defended himself on social media, tweeting, "You should hear what they said to me."
The big man's world tour continued after the game when he took pictures with security staffers at Little Caesars Arena.

Burns' style of play makes his NBA future wildly uncertain, if only because the league isn't geared toward players who do what he does anymore. If there is any time to embrace the moment, it's right now with NC State at the center of the sports world despite not even being in the NCAA Tournament conversation three short weeks ago.
