Michigan State super freshman Miles Bridges was brought back down to earth in a lopsided loss against Kentucky on Tuesday in New York, but he was back to his explosive ways during Friday's home opener.
Bridges, the 11th-ranked player in the 2016 recruiting class according to 247Sports, scored 21 points in the first half, highlighted by an improbable dunk over two Mississippi Valley State defenders.

The 13th-ranked Spartans (1-2) couldn't get anything going offensively against top opponents to start the season, but looked formidable in Friday night's 100-53 win.
Bridges led the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Eron Harris finally found his form by pouring in 19 points, and Matt McQuaid scored 15 points, spurred by back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers in the second half. Freshman Nick Ward added 18 points — on 8-of-8 shooting — and seven rebounds.
