Memphis and Wichita State face off for the second time in 20 days, this time in Tennessee.

In their previous matchup, the Tigers walloped the Shockers in a 112-86 victory in Kansas where Memphis guards Jaykwon Walton and Jahvon Quinerly scored 23 points apiece and went 11-for-14 from behind the arc. Wichita only hit 13 3-pointers as a team in that game and was led by Colby Rogers' 20 points.

Neither team has looked great since that matchup, though. Memphis lost four consecutive games during that stretch, while Wichita won just one of its past five. Both will look to get off the schneid this weekend.

Memphis' guards ruled the day in their most recent matchup against the Wichita State, but the Tigers will need to get big man David Jones more involved in this one. Jones leads the team with 21.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game on the year. He scored 19 against the Shockers earlier this month. Quinerly hasn't looked great since his explosion against Wichita, either – he's averaged just 11.5 points per game and gone 5-of-22 from downtown.

Rogers will have to be the focal point for Wichita, but he hasn't fared well over the past five games while he averaged only 12.2 points during their most recent stretch. The forward duo of Kenny Pohto and Dalen Ridgnal will have to content with Jones down low.

Neither side is looking great in AAC play. The Tigers rank seventh with a 4-4 record while the Shockers are tied for 13th with a 1-7 record. A win for either side would help their record going into the conference tournament.
