It was solid day for betting underdogs Saturday.
Mostly because the biggest stunner of the 2017 NCAA Tournament happened as No. 8 Wisconsin knocked off defending champion and No. 1 overall seed Villanova.
Overall, underdogs did OK Saturday. 'Dogs went 3-5 on Day 3 of March Madness with Wisconsin (+5.5) and Xavier (+7.5) winning outright, and Northwestern (+10.5) covering with some late-game magic.
Arizona (-5), Florida (-1.5), West Virginia (-2.5) and Butler (-2.5) all took care of business without much drama. However Purdue (-1) had to hold on for dear life after surrendering a 19-point lead to Iowa State.
