The LSU Tigers look to avenge their close loss to SEC-leading South Carolina in road clash with the Mississippi State Bulldogs today.

LSU had South Carolina on the ropes late in the contest but gave up an 11-point deficit in the Tigers' second conference loss. They sit third in the SEC behind South Carolina and Tennessee with a 5-2 conference record and an 18-3 overall record.

Mississippi State, meanwhile, beat Florida by 12 points a week ago to break even in SEC play. The Bulldogs sit tied for sixth in the conference at 3-3 and 16-5 on the season.

LSU forward Angel Reese will once again be at the center of this game. She leads the Tigers with 19.6 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Guard Aneesah Morrow has been almost just as impressive, though, with 18.0 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. Morrow also leads the team defensively with 2.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per game.

Mississippi State has a solid guard-forward combo, as well, with JerKaila Jordan and Jessika Carter. Jordan leads the team's scoring efforts with 17.1 points per game, while Carter owns the boards with 9.8 per game. Jordan also averages 6.3 rebounds per game while Carter scores 15.1 points per game.

The Bulldogs could have a hard time stopping the Tigers' third-ranked offense, though. LSU scores 90.6 points per game, while Mississippi State allows 61.0 points per game. The Bulldogs score a decent amount at 76.9 points per game while LSU allows 62.1 points per game.
