K.J. Lawson wasted no time sharing how he felt about his former team.
Lawson and his brother Dedric recently announced their transfer from Memphis to Kansas after their father, Keelon Lawson Sr., was demoted from assistant coach to an administrative role, and apparently have some strong feelings about the Tigers and their head coach, Tubby Smith.

The Lawson brothers originally committed to Memphis when Josh Pastner hired their father as an assistant coach. Hiring parents for talent has become a trend in college basketball, as we've seen at Washington (and now Missouri) with Michael Porter Jr. and in this case at Memphis, which did not turn out well for the Tigers.
Now we can only hope that Kansas won't be burned by the Lawsons and other schools won't follow suit, as Sporting News' Mike DeCourcy warns.
