Jalek Felton decided Tuesday afternoon was the right time for him to commit to the University of North Carolina. The choice is a familiar story for the Tar Heels, who again have landed a Felton who is a dominant star in the Palmetto State.
The nephew of former UNC star and current Mavericks guard Raymond Felton, Jalek, from Mullins, S.C., was long thought to be a lean to the Heels due to his bloodlines. He nonetheless made the announcement while his team was participating in the prestigious Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach.

A smooth and skilled combo guard at 6-3, the younger Felton has a chance to be even better than his uncle.
He is capable as both a scorer and facilitator, but specializes in scoring. He is currently viewed as a top 10 prospect in his class and could see his stock rise while playing with Team Felton on the AAU circuit.
