The No. 3 Hawkeyes are coming off a dominant win over Fairleigh Dickinson in which Caitlin Clark totaled 28 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. If Iowa can defeat Virginia Tech, it may be able to jump up to No. 1 in the AP poll because LSU fell to Colorado in its season opener.

But the No. 8 Hokies aren't looking to be just another team on Clark's highlight reel. Virginia Tech brings its own star to the court in Elizabeth Kitley, who has won the last two ACC Player of the Year awards.

As Hawkeyes coach Lisa Bluder described it, this game is "one of the premier matchups of the non-conference season nationally."
