Iowa State cheerleader Kate Coker achieved Internet celebrity status Friday night after getting hit in the face with a kicked ball during the Cyclones' game against Virginia.
She's OK, even after her Cyclones lost, though.

“The social media attention has been insane,” Coker wrote in a text message to The Des Moines Register. “My friends reached out to me first and said they hoped I didn’t become a meme.”
She and her friends searched Twitter and saw all kinds of reaction. She also found a picture of herself from before the incident and took to Twitter to show her sense of humor.

The senior cheerleader, who returned to the game later, told The Register that she does not have a broken nose or concussion and is in "good spirits for sure!"
