The legend of Caitlin Clark and the 2023-24 Iowa Hawkeyes will continue with a Sweet 16 rematch against Colorado.
Though the final score doesn't indicate it, No. 1 Iowa faced a tough West Virginia team that nearly pulled off the upset on the Hawkeyes' home floor. No. 5 Colorado took on Kansas State in the second round and prevailed with a strong 63-50 showing.
Clark racked up 32 points against the Mountaineers, breaking the single-season women's scoring record during the 64-54 win. Hannah Stuelke had a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds, helping the Hawkeyes prevail despite the team shooting just 22.7 percent from 3-point range.
Colorado's Quay Miller had a double-double in the Buffs' victory over the Wildcats, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Colorado created havoc defensively, causing 22 turnovers, including nine from Kansas State guard Serena Sundell.
