March Madness is a time for players to submit legendary performances. Consider Marcus Domask's entry submitted.
The Illinois redshirt senior forward delivered a stellar performance against Morehead State, posting a triple-double in the Fighting Illini's 85-69 win in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
No. 3 Illinois was a big favorite against the No. 14 seed Eagles, but that doesn't take anything away from Domask's outstanding effort. It's rare for players to tally triple-doubles at the college level, let alone during March Madness.
"It's definitely a cool accomplishment to have my name up there with some of the greats, and such few people have done it so far," Domask said after the game. "It's a great accomplishment. But at this point in my career, I'm really past all the personal accolades, and at this point in March, it's all about winning, and that's really all I'm trying to do."

Triple doubles during March Madness
Domask's triple-double is only the 10th to occur in the 85-year history of the March Madness tournament. Among those 10 triple-doubles, only Draymond Green repeated with two such performances.
There are several names that put Domask in some stellar company. Among the other players with triple-doubles are Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Ja Morant, and Green.

Domask's triple-double might somehow be overshadowed by other performances on his team. Terrence Shannon Jr. scored a game-high 26 points, and Dain Dainja scored 21 off the bench.
The point total of 12 was a bit modest, but he also had 11 rebounds and 10 assists to round out his performance. He shot 5-of-14 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range.
