College basketball fans across the country will be relieved to see that Florida star Keyontae Johnson is doing much better after his scary collapse during the Gators' Dec. 12 game against Florida State.
Johnson posted a video on Twitter on Friday afternoon in which he thanked fans for their prayers and hospital staffers for their support. The caption read: "'Write your own story.' God said my work here ain't done."

"First and foremost, I'd like to thank God," Johnson said. "I know y'all have been sending y'all's prayers out the last few weeks, and me and my parents are very grateful for the prayers that have been going out."

Johnson was placed in a medically induced coma after collapsing during the rivalry game with the Seminoles, according to his grandfather. He was transferred to UF Shands Health in Gainesville, Fla., on Monday after spending two days at Tallahassee Memorial, UF officials said. Florida basketball announced Monday night that Johnson's "immediate family" was with him in Gainesville.
On Wednesday, the team released a statement saying Johnson was able to breathe on his own and speak with doctors.
"To all the doctors and medical staff at Tallahassee Memorial and UF Shands, I just want to say thank you for all the support y'all gave me, especially the lady that was in the gym at Florida State," Johnson said in the video.
Johnson, the SEC's 2020-21 Preseason Player of the Year, has averaged 16 points per game in four games this season. There's no timetable for his return, but Florida fans will just be happy to hear his voice and see him in good spirits.
