Duke looks to stay alive in the race for the ACC regular season championship when it takes on NC State in Raleigh on Monday evening.

The Blue Devils (23-6, 14-4 ACC) trail North Carolina by one game in the ACC standings, with a seismic matchup between the two rivals awaiting on Saturday.

Fueled by a 21-point effort from sophomore center Kyle Filipowski, Duke obliterated Virginia last Saturday, 73-48. That marks two consecutive wins for the Blue Devils since the court-storming incident at Wake Forest, in which Filipowski had an injury scare after a collision with a fan.

But in order for Duke to keep its title hopes alive, it must first survive a pesky NC State team. The Wolfpack (17-12, 9-9 ACC) have dropped two in a row and five of their last seven games, including a 79-70 defeat against the Tar Heels on Saturday — a game in which NC State had an eight-point halftime lead.

Senior guard DJ Horne leads a potent offense, averaging a team-high 17.6 points per game. Horne dropped 20 points against North Carolina, while junior guard Jayden Taylor added 22.

This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
