USC freshman Bronny James will look to shake off his recent slump when struggling USC takes on Colorado on Saturday evening.

The Trojans are just 8-8 on the season and have begun conference play with a 1-3 record. To make matters worse, in Thursday’s loss to Washington State, standout freshman Isaiah Collier suffered a hand injury that will sideline him for 4 to 6 weeks.

Collier’s injury is a blow to USC’s backcourt, but it figures to leave James in line for a bigger role. James, averaging 5.9 points across eight games this season, has been on a minutes restriction since recovering from a cardiac arrest he suffered in July.

James has not scored a field goal in each of the last two games. But prior to that stretch, he had notched double-figures in back-to-back games. He also has contributed stout defense.

USC will look to find its footing without Collier on the road against Colorado on Saturday night. What role will James play in the matchup? Here is what we know about his availability for the game.

Is Bronny James playing vs. Colorado tonight?

James has yet to play more than 20 minutes in a game this season, as he eases his way back from a congenital heart defect, which caused a cardiac arrest at a practice in July.

After the Trojans defeated California on Jan. 3, USC head coach Andy Enfield told reporters that James’ restriction will be a "week-by-week type thing."
