No. 3 Arizona's 39-game regular-season nonconference winning streak is over.

UNLV, a 12.5-point underdog, held on down the stretch to beat the Wildcats, 71-67. Arizona's last chances in the final minute came up short, as Brandon Ashley missed a jumper and Stanley Johnson was stripped in the open court.

According to the Associated Press, Arizona head coach Sean Miller was blunt with his analysis.

"We stink," he said.

Johnson finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds and T.J. McConnell added 14 points and seven assists for the Wildcats. The Running Rebels were led by Christian Wood's 24 points and 10 rebounds while Patrick McCaw, who sealed the game with the steal and ensuing free throws, added 13 points.

There are eight remaining unbeaten teams in college basketball, two of which — No. 1 Kentucky and No. 4 Louisville — face off on Saturday.
