The 2019 American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament will be played from March 14-17 at FedExForum in Memphis, Tenn. Although the American is still considered one of the newer conferences, it continues to make a name for itself with powerful teams.

The top teams coming out of the AAC are Houston (27-2, 14-2 in AAC) and Cincinnati (25-4, 14-2). The Cougars and Bearcats have dominated the conference and are currently ranked No. 12 and No. 20 in the country, respectively.

Another team to keep an eye on during the tournament is UCF; the Knights have lost to Houston, Wichita State and Memphis, but still remain one of the AAC's top contenders, sitting at third in the standings with a 22-6 overall mark and 12-4 conference record. Don't discount Memphis in Penny Hardaway's first AAC Tournament either, especially with the Tigers hosting the tournament.
