The San Antonio Spurs' draft-day plans are a complete mystery, as the front office could hold steady with picks No. 4 and 8 or move into the top-3.
If they opt for the latter, UConn Huskies big man Donovan Clingan could be their prospect of choice. Rumblings of the Atlanta Hawks trading out of the top selection remain heavy, where the Spurs could swoop in for Clingan.
"The Spurs interviewed Donovan Clingan recently," Givony wrote. "Could they have real interest in a fascinating twin-towers lineup with the 7-foot-3 UConn champion and 7-foot-5 Victor Wembanyama?Rival teams aren't sure."

The idea of adding a true center to the lineup makes perfect sense, as Wembanyama performed much better as a power forward last season. His frailer frame often put him in uncomfortable matchups against dominant big men such as Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. Drafting the 280-pound center, who averaged 7.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks, allows Wembanyama to take on more favorable assignments defensively.
Acquiring a guard should remain a top priority for San Antonio, but it seems they could look elsewhere than the draft.
