Phoenix Suns superstar guard Devin Booker just came out and said that he believes that winning an Olympic gold medal is much easier than becoming an NBA champion.
“I feel like all the best talent in the world is in the NBA, and this is coming from an Olympic gold medalist (who believes) that being an NBA champion is probably harder to do.”
Booker has been to the NBA Finals and lost in 2021, and he is currently on the Olympic team which seems to be heading for their fifth straight gold medal. He also helped get the gold in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, so there may be some weight behind his words.
The NBA is regarded as the greatest basketball league in the world, where the best players play to compete and win the Finals. While players of other leagues might be the best in them, according to Booker, they are levels below NBA standards.
