The Philadelphia 76ers are anticipating a major splash this offseason, but no one can figure out who exactly they're targeting.

Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George was the most heavily discussed name for weeks, but NBA Insider Shams Charania has shut down that idea once again. On Thursday, he reported that Philly's interest in George is fading, followed by a remark on the Pat McAfee Show explaining that the Sixers are growing eager to make a move.

“The signal that they’re giving teams around the league is they are open for business," Charania said. "They feel like over the next week or so, they can be aggressive and if there’s an option that presents itself, they can move on and not have to wait on Paul George in free agency.”

With George seemingly off the table, people began to suspect that either Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls) or Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans) were their desired stars. However, numerous reports claim otherwise, viewing the two as backup options. The only remaining outcomes are the Sixers' front office swinging for the fences on a superstar such as Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler or Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James.
