The Philadelphia 76ers' backcourt is filled with talent, from star Tyrese Maxey to rookie Jared McCain, but it may be impossible to refuse this dynamic scorer.
Unrestricted free agent Gary Trent Jr. is reportedly willing to consider 'a below-market one-year deal to reraise his value this season,' according to NBA reporter Jake Weinbach. There's likely steep competition from numerous championship contenders, but it seems Trent is drawn to Philadelphia.
Trent now follows multiple 76ers on Instagram, in Maxey and newly acquired big man Andre Drummond. While it's not unusual to follow a star such as Maxey, the connection to Drummond is drawing in speculation.

This adds up with Weinbach's report, which noted, "The Nuggets, Bucks, Sixers, and Knicks are teams worth monitoring for the two-way guard as his camp mulls over appealing options."
While The Sixers' offer may not come with as much value, the opportunity to compete for a title at 25 years old may be too much to pass on. Not to mention, the previous connections held with multiple members of Philadelphia's coaching staff.
