The Los Angeles Clippers will attempt to retain star Paul George, but two Eastern Conference contenders have grabbed his attention.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, "Paul George is planning to take free agent meetings with the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic beginning late Sunday night and Monday on the West Coast."

LA desires to keep George around long-term in hopes of contending for a title, assuming that Kawhi Leonard can maintain solid health while guard James Harden makes the decision to resign. The Sixers are the heaviest rumored landing spot for the veteran star, as they have some of the most cap space in the NBA paired with a star tandem of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. The Magic are not the most logical landing spot, considering the crowded wing room of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, but George's remark of focusing on "playing the right style of basketball" could be accomplished in Orlando by developing the duo into the league's fiercest forward tandem.
