It is no secret that the Oklahoma City Thunder are ascending in the NBA world. Through their successful play and tremendous energy, the Thunder are drawing all sorts of attention. But with that attention comes jealousy and negativity

In a recent podcast known as The Mismatch, the topic of conversation revolved around the Memphis Grizzlies' schedule, and when the members and guests of the podcast saw the Thunder on the schedule, they gave very interesting takes on the matchup and the team overall:

"I guess, like, Oklahoma City will be the one that [the Grizzlies] go after this year because they feel like Oklahoma City literally just stole their whole flow," Chris Vernon, a media member of Grind City Media said. "Like doing the whole team interviews after the games and, like, all that stuff."

Vernon later went on to explain that the Grizzlies, headed by Ja Morant, were doing group interviews back in 2022 and before they were popularized by the OKC Thunder.

Last season, the Grizzlies ranked ninth in youngest NBA teams and went 27-55 (with a ton of injuries throughout the season). For the Thunder, they were ranked second and finished first in the West with a 57-25 record.

Fans and media personalities can talk about who-stole-what and other hypotheticals, but at the end of the day, these are two energetic and jaw-dropping teams that are bringing a new style to the National Basketball Association.
