This past Monday, September 30, Oklahoma City Thunder fans were able to get their first look at the official 2024/25 team during Media Day. From the new additions and rookies in Thunder threads to a variety of different answers given to questions asked by the media, the OKC Thunder are appearing as good as can be.

Now, with the first day of training camp starting today on Tuesday, October 1, players and coaches alike can officially get down to business. And with that comes many questions that still have yet to be completely answered.

What will the official starting lineup be?

This may be the biggest question for the OKC Thunder. Last season, the lineup of Shai, Giddey, Dort, JDub, and Chet helped get the Thunder 57 wins and the one seed out West. Now, with Alex Caruso replacing Giddey and Isaiah Hartenstein added to the roster, how will the starting lineup shape out? While there are a variety of possibilities, that answer will ultimately be decided by head coach Mark Daigneault and the type of team OKC will be facing.

How big of an impact will Caruso and Hartenstein make?

Whether or not both of these additions start, come off the bench or alternate between the two, Caruso and Hartenstein should boost the Thunder's title odds. From rebounding and interior defense to three-point shooting and perimeter defense, both of these new OKC players will be crucial in helping the Thunder win games. How soon that will occur will depend on how quickly they will be integrated into the system and chemistry.

What is the ceiling for Chet and JDub?

While many experts and analysts predict that these two young stars will see massive leaps in their games, it certainly is not set in stone. Living up to those types of expectations can be hard, and the type of season Chet and Dub just came off of were incredible.

Both players were top votes in their respective categories last season (ROTY and MIP) and helped lead the team in the playoffs alongside SGA. This question may not be answerable until the 2024/25 season starts, but it is safe to say that Thunder fans are excited for their progression.
