Zion Williamson got shredded during NBA hiatus, and now Twitter is ready for Pelicans star to dominate image

Remember that scene in "Billy Madison" when Adam Sandler's classic character is absolutely drilling children with dodgeballs?

Well, Zion Williamson made his way to the weight room after the NBA suspended play in March, and now the rest of the league is in "big, big trouble."

MORE: Key dates, schedule & more to know about NBA season

On Thursday, the Pelicans shared photos featuring Williamson, Jrue Holiday, Josh Hart and JJ Redick working out. Nothing groundbreaking, just your average update from a team account.

However, once Twitter users focused on the image of the rookie forward, they quickly realized Williamson had spent the last few months eating dumbbells every morning, apparently.

Williamson missed the first 44 games of the 2019-20 season following knee surgery, and he struggled with his conditioning at times upon his return, leaving critics wondering if he had a weight issue. (He is listed at 6-6 and 284 pounds.) Williamson seemed to focus on slimming down ahead of the NBA restart, and now those concerns sound ridiculous.

The soon-to-be 20-year-old was compared to the shark from "Jaws," Bane from "The Dark Knight Rises" and Snake Eyes from "G.I. Joe."

There were also the sweep predictions. Put your money down now. Take those odds.

And hey, that's not a bad advertisement for masks! Stay safe!

Fine print: Wearing a mask does not necessarily guarantee gigantic biceps. It's worth a shot, though.
