As the season winds down, each game is crucial for the Pelicans.

After surging toward the top of the Western Conference standings early on, New Orleans has struggled in the absence of Zion Williamson, who went down in early January. Two months later, the Pelicans are hanging on to one of the final spots in the West's Play-In Tournament, and their margin for error is razor-thin.

New Orleans' road hasn't been easy — on Monday, it faces Sacramento to wrap up a three-game West Coast trip that began with stops in Portland and Golden State. The Kings, who just had a five-game win streak snapped on Saturday, will look to get a new streak going as they aim for the Western Conference's No. 2 seed.

As the Pelicans look to get a late-season surge going, will Williamson be in action? The Sporting News has you covered with the latest on the two-time All-Star's status for Monday night's game.
