The Wizards are out of the playoff race, and they could soon be in the market for a new coach.
Randy Wittman is expected to be fired by the Wizards at the conclusion of the NBA regular season later this week, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

"Randy (Wittman) probably, more than 99 percent certain, is going to be fired Thursday morning," Windhorst said Monday on Tony Kornheiser's radio show.
Wittman took over the team on an interim basis during the 2011-12 season after Flip Saunders was fired. He guided Washington to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, but the team was 39-41 entering Monday night and eliminated from playoff contention.

The Wizards were expected to challenge for the Eastern Conference title after advancing to the second round a year ago, but never came close to fulfilling that promise.
They have had a rash of injuries, most notably standout guard Bradley Beal, who suffered a strained pelvis Sunday against Charlotte. Beal has missed 26 games this season and has never played more than 73 games in his career.
