Will Ferrell warmed up with Warriors Klay Thompson dressed as 'Jackie Moon' image

The Golden State Warriors entered Tuesday night's game with the Clippers on a five-game losing streak. 

They've been playing without Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, so who else could conceivably step up and fill that void? Steph Curry? Surely Kay Thompson? 

No, in fact, the Warriors called upon Flint Tropics icon Jackie Moon.

Actor Will Ferrell took to the court in full Flint Tropics gear to warm up with Warriors stars, much to the delight - and surprise - of star Klay Thompson. 

The connection between Thompson and the fictional character from the movie Semi-Pro dates back to 2018 when the Warriors' guard broke the NBA’s single-game 3-pointers record with 14 made 3-pointers. Due to a cut on his forehead that required stitches, Thompson wore a gold headband as he made history. 

After the game, he joked: “I look like Jackie Moon out there. He's probably one of my favorite characters in all sports movies.”

That Halloween Thompson dressed as Moon as well. 

Thompson got his full-circle moment on Tuesday when Ferrell surprised him.
