Following Monday's Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals, the Warriors and Celtics will receive two days off before they're back in action on Thursday, June 16.
They'll have to wait an extra day, but the Warriors are just one win away from basketball immortality as NBA champions after Andrew Wiggins led them to victory with 26 points and 13 rebounds in a massive performance in Game 5.
Of course, the extra day is a product of the NBA switching to a 2-2-1-1-1 format in the NBA Finals ahead of the 2013-14 season. As a result, there is added time in between Finals to ease the burden of cross-country travel as in this series.
