Bombing away from deep and stepping up their defensive intensity, the Dallas Mavericks stunned the Phoenix Suns in back-to-back games to tie up their second-round series 2-2.
The Mavs simply took care of business on their homecourt. Luka Doncic was sensational, doing a little bit of everything on offense and scoring 26 points in both Games 3 and 4. But while Doncic was the engine driving Dallas to victory, he also got plenty of help from his teammates.
In Game 3, Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 28 points and he followed that up with an 18-point performance in Game 4. The Mavs also got strong performances from Dorian Finney-Smith (eight three-pointers in Game 4), Davis Bertans (four three-pointers in Game 4), Reggie Bullock (15 points in Game 3) and Maxi Kleber (14 points in Game 3 and 11 in Game 4).
With the others of Dallas supporting Doncic's brilliance, Phoenix's elite defense became discombobulated, unable to stop the Mavericks' high octane offense. To make matters worse for the Suns, their leader, Chris Paul played rather uncharacteristically in Dallas.
Paul had seven turnovers in Game 3 and fouled out in Game 4. In Game 3, Paul also only took four shots and finished with just five points.

The good news for the Suns is that the series now shifts back to Phoenix where they won the first two games of the series. But with Dallas playing sensational right now, can being at home actually help the Suns pick up the must-win?
