As the defending NBA champions built their season-opening streak, the team — led by high-scoring Stephen Curry — stayed true to a "one game at a time" mantra. The next game is all that mattered.
The next game is Sunday night against the Nuggets, and a victory in Denver would tie the Warriors (14-0) for the most wins to start a season with the 1993-94 Houston Rockets and the 1948-49 Washington Capitols.
“We haven’t brought it up at all yet, but we’re close enough now,” interim coach Luke Walton said. "Let’s try to go get that best start ever.”

“Honestly, in the grand scheme of things, our ultimate goal is to win the championship or chase it right now. We’ve got to continue to get better and improve every game.
“But that right there (the record) is a huge accomplishment. To have your name in the history books of the NBA, that’s big. That’s bigger than any of us here.”
