The Golden State Warriors extend their win streak at Chase Center to eight games after a rollercoaster 123-112 win over the Phoenix Suns

Klay Thompson had the hot hand early, scoring 33 of his 38 points in the first half, while Stephen Curry added 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. 

Phoenix rallied from as many as 25 points down on two occasions, cutting the deficit to single digits in the fourth quarter, before Thompson, Curry, and Jordan Poole shut the door. 

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points on the night, while Deandre Ayton finished with a strong double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. 

With the win, the Warriors improve to 36-30 on the season, closing the gap on the fourth-seed Suns, who fall to 37-31.

12:35 a.m. — That's a wrap from Chase Center as the Warriors hold off the Suns to seal their eighth consecutive home win. 

12:25 a.m. — Things are getting chippy down the stretch as Damion Lee is assessed a technical foul for shoving JaMychal Green, who also assessed a tech. Suns ball. Warriors lead 123-108.

12:25 a.m. — Jordan Poole's getting in on the action from downtown as the Warriors pull away.

12:15 a.m. — With Steph Curry on the bench, Klay Thompson has picked up the offense for the Warriors, going to work from midrange.

We've got a blockbuster finish coming up in the Bay as the Suns close the gap to just 10 points after trailing by as many as 25 points. 

11:53 p.m. — The Warriors regain control of the contest thanks to a 9-2 run to push the lead back out to 10 points. 

11:47 p.m. — Jordan Poole is called for the foul on Chris Paul and puts the Warriors in the penalty with 4:32 to go. Both teams are now in the bonus. Warriors lead 85-82.

11:40 p.m. — Ayton gets the bucket to cut the deficit to single digits for the first time since the seven-minute mark of the first quarter.

11:38 p.m. — The Suns are starting to find some success with Denadre Ayton inside, putting his size advantage to good use.

The Warriors have run the Suns off the floor in the opening 24 minutes, thanks to a barrage of 3-pointers, going 14-of-21 from deep.

Coming off an overtime game on Saturday, the Warriors showed no signs of fatigue in Q1, thanks to a blistering start from the 3-point line, connecting on 8-of-11 from deep. 

Klay Thompson leads all scorers with 18 points, while Steph Curry has 12. Devin Booker leads the Suns with eight points. 

10:40 p.m. — The first-quarter buzzer couldn't have come quick enough for the Suns, who were outscored by 20+ points in a quarter for the first time this season.
