The Rockets claimed an impressive victory over the West-leading Warriors on Saturday night, 116-108, in Houston. Chris Paul and James Harden combined for 55 points, with Paul pitching in 11 rebounds and seven assists. Kevin Durant led the Warriors in scoring with 26 points.
In claiming the rubber match so far this season between the two teams, the Rockets snapped the Warriors' 14-game winning streak, which was the third-longest road winning stretch in NBA history. The Warriors still lead the West with a 37-9 record, but the Rockets closed the deficit to 3.5 games with the win.

The Rockets took a seven-point lead into halftime. Stephen Curry turned in a poor first half, going 2 of 11. He finished with 19 points, the lowest since he came back from an ankle injury that kept him out for about a month earlier this season. The win was mostly earned down low, with the Rockets outrebounding the Warriors 46 to 33. The Warriors were also forced into 19 turnovers, with Curry committing six of them.
Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green missed the game for the Rockets. They are serving two-game suspensions for the Rockets' locker room incident after a game against the Clippers.
