Warriors vs. Raptors results: Golden State's fourth-quarter rally without Kevin Durant forces Game 6 image

It wasn't pretty, but the Warriors rallied past the Raptors in the fourth quarter after blowing a 14-point lead to take Game 5 106-105 on Monday night in Toronto.

Things started off well for Golden State. Kevin Durant played in his first game since May 8 and didn't miss a beat, hitting his first two shots and scoring 11 points in the first quarter. Durant then went down in the second after reaggravating his right leg injury and did not return to the game.

Despite Durant's injury, the Warriors entered the break up 62-56. Golden State started the second half on a strong note, opening up a 12-point lead early in the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, the Raptors made their move. After scoring just one point in the fourth quarter, Kawhi Leonard went on a tear, scoring 10 straight points for Toronto to give the Raptors a six-point lead and putting an NBA Championship within their grasp.

A Klay Thompson 3 made it a three-point game with just over two minutes to go. Toronto's Kyle Lowry then turned it over, and Curry capitalized with a 3 to tie the game. Thompson followed with a 3 of his own to give Golden State a three-point lead with 56.6 seconds to go.

Several possessions later, DeMarcus Cousins was called for goaltending a Lowry shot, and the Warriors' lead wass cut to just one. To make matters worse, Cousins was called for a moving screen giving Toronto the ball down one with 15.7 seconds left.

Leonard was given the ball but was immediately double-teamed, so he passed it to Fred VanVleet. VanVleet kicked it to Lowry in the corner where he attempted a 3-pointer that hit the backboard as time expired.

Stephen Curry led all scorers with 31 while Thompson and Leonard had 26 apiece. The series now shifts back west for Game 6 as the Warriors look to stave off elimination and force a Game 7 back in Toronto.
