This isn't the first time the NBA has taken a dip into the virtual reality world. During the 2013-14 season, NextVR recorded a Warriors game against the Nuggets. The company also captured moments from last season's All-Star weekend as well as five of the NBA Finals games between the Warriors and Cavaliers.
Tuesday's game, however, will be the first live stream of a sports event.
"You look to the left, and see a basket. You look to the right, and see a basket. You look to the ground, and see the court," said Jeff Marsilio, vice president of global media for the NBA, via USA Today. "It feels like you're at the game."
The idea of viewing a game through virtual reality seems cool, but in order to access it you're going to need some accessories. According to NextVR's website, fans who want to experience Tuesday's game will need download the NextVR app and open it in their Gear VR headset with a Samsung Note 4 or Galaxy S6 phone.
