Warriors vs. Mavericks score, result: Golden State overcome road woes for thrilling win in Dallas image

The Golden State Warriors held their nerve down the stretch to escape with a 127-125 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

It marked just their just ninth road win of the season and their first back-to-back road wins since the 2022 NBA Finals. The win now also gives the Warriors (38-36) the tiebreaker over the Mavericks (36-37).

Jonathan Kuminga led Golden State with 22 points off the bench, while Steph Curry added 20 points and 13 assists.

Luka Doncic returned from a five-game absence, with 30 points and 17 assists, while Jaden Hardy came up with a big performance off the bench with 27 points on 6-of-9 from the 3-point line.

10:09p.m. — Steph Curry shuts it down with a clutch layup with just 8.5 seconds remaining. Draymond Green seals off his man and creates an open lane for Steph. Warriors lead 125-122. 

10:05 p.m. — Draymond Green has been aggressively attacking the paint all night and he comes up with a huge play down the stretch, converting the and-1 play to put the Warriors up 123-120.

9:58 p.m. — Kuminga is up to 20 points for the Warriors. He's closing in on his career-high of 26. 

9:55 p.m. — Jaden Hardy answers right back for the Mavs with his sixth triple of the night to cut the deficit to just two points. Warriors lead 113-111. 

9:54 p.m. — Kuminga again! His movement off the ball is catching the Mavs napping.   

9:53 p.m. — Draymond says Nope!

9:51 p.m. — The Warriors are making their move early in the fourth with eight straight points out of the timeout. They lead 111-103.

End of third quarter: Warriors 96, Mavericks 93

The Warriors hold a slender lead heading into the final frame with six players scoring in double figures already, led by Kuminga (16) and Poole (14) off the bench. 

Doncic leads the Mavs with 23 points and 13 assists, while Jaden Hardy has chipped in 16 off the bench going 4-of-7 from deep. 

9:30 p.m. — Jaden Hardy again! He drills the triple to cut the deficit to just one point.

9:28 p.m. — Some confusion from the Mavericks who were guarding the wrong side of the floor after the officials initially called Mavs ball prior to a timeout. The miscommunication resulted in the easiest bucket the Warriors will score this season. 

9:25 p.m. — Jordan Poole hits the runway and jams it home! He's got 10 points and three assists off the bench tonight. Warriors lead 88-85.

9:21 p.m. — Josh Green is heating up! He's scored nine of his 11 points in the third quarter. 

9:13 p.m. — It's been a game of runs here in the third as the Mavs hit back with two quick buckets, following a 10-0 run from the Warriors. Timeout Warriors. Golden State lead 77-73.

9:09 p.m. — Golden State's energy and activity on the glass continue to create second-chance opportunities. Warriors outrebounding the Mavs 28-15. 

9:07 p.m. — Doncic continues to draw in the Warriors' defence off the dribble and finds Josh Green wide open in the corner for three. Mavs lead 68-87.

Halftime: Warriors 65, Mavericks 63

The Warriors take a two-point lead into the break, led by 14 points from Jonathan Kuminga. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have nine points apiece. 

Luka Doncic leads Dallas with 18 points and nine assists. Christian Wood and Jaden Hardy have made an impact off the bench with 11 and 10 points respectively. 

8:42 p.m. — Curry buries the bucket to give the Warriors their first lead since early in the first quarter. Dubs in front 51-50, thanks to a 10-1 run.

8:39 p.m. — Kuminga has been the standout for the Warriors on both sides, pushing the pace in transition, knocking down a couple of threes and making life tough for Luka Doncic defensively. 

Kuminga and Doncic both lead their teams with 12 points apiece.

8:32 p.m. — The Warriors are moving the ball well here in Q2, making it 15 assists on 21 made field goals so far. 

8:27 p.m. — The Mavericks are putting the Warriors under pressure defensively, forcing a ton of fouls. Draymond Green heads to the bench with his third, with Golden State already in the penalty.

8:24 p.m. — Curry picks up his second foul with 9:24 remaining in the second quarter. He stays in the game. Mavs lead 37-36.

8:17 p.m. — Touchdown! Curry finds Poole for the full court dime!

End of first quarter: Mavericks 33, Warriors 30

The Mavericks take a three-point lead into the first break, behind six points and six assists from Luka Doncic. 

Jonathan Kuminga leads the Warriors with seven points off the bench.

8:12 p.m. — The Warriors have been sloppy to start the game with six turnovers in the first quarter alone.
