If Stephen Curry started the 2015-16 NBA season any hotter, Oracle Arena would have had to be evacuated.
The reigning MVP showed no signs of a championship hangover early in the season opener against the Pelicans, scoring 24 points in the first quarter. The Warriors eventually defeated New Orleans 111-95, with Curry putting in 40 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Curry went 9 for 13 from the field in the quarter, hitting 4 of 7 3-point shots. The 24 points are the most for any player in the first quarter of a season opener in the last 20 years. Here's a video with every bucket No. 30 got in the first quarter.
