What better way to start a new NBA season than with a contest featuring one of the league's greatest players facing his former team?

Kevin Durant will see a few familiar faces on Opening Night as his Nets meet the Warriors to tip off the 2020-21 season. The 32-year-old forward's last appearance in a game that mattered came on June 10, 2019, when Durant, then a member of the Warriors, logged 12 minutes in Game 5 of the NBA Finals before falling to the floor with a torn Achilles. After leaving Golden State for Brooklyn in free agency last year, Durant missed the entire 2019-20 season and prepared for his comeback tour. Now the Nets are hoping a healthy Durant and Kyrie Irving can lead them to championship glory.

As for Durant's old franchise, the Warriors will rely on two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry to guide Golden State back to the playoffs after an injury-plagued season. He must carry the offensive load with fellow "Splash Brother" Klay Thompson recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered during an offseason workout. Curry should have Draymond Green by his side this year, but the former Defensive Player of the Year is doubtful for the opener with a muscle strain in his right foot.

Are you ready for some hoops? Here is everything you need to know about how to watch Warriors vs. Nets on the NBA's Opening Night.
