It's like it was meant to be.
Stephen Curry, arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history and trailblazer of the league's recent 3-point revolution, will look to surpass Ray Allen for the most career regular-season 3-pointers ever against the Knicks at the Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
The two-time MVP breaking the all-time record should be a safe assumption, considering he only needs a pair to overtake Allen's tally of 2,973.

Passing Allen at the Garden brings things full circle. Ahead of the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry wanted to go to New York and believed the Knicks would select him. Instead, the Warriors drafted him with the seventh overall pick while the Knicks had the eighth pick.

Madison Square Garden is also the arena where the baby-faced assassin first announced himself as a bonafide star when he exploded for a then career-high 54 points.
Curry and the Warriors will play the Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back after picking up a hard-fought 102-100 victory against the Pacers in Indiana. If playing in less than 24 hours isn't hard enough, the team was forced to stay in Indianapolis due to mechanical issues with their plane. They are reportedly set to take a 10:00 a.m. flight to New York on Tuesday morning.
The Knicks, on the other hand, are slumping. After a decent 9-7 start to the season, they have lost eight of their previous 11 coming into this game with their defensive rating ranked among the bottom six in the league. That's stunning, to say the least, for a Tom Thibodeau team.
