The Warriors are reaching a make-or-break point in their season as they host the Kings on Thursday night.

The Warriors haven't won much since the calendar flipped to 2024, and they sit at the bottom of the Pacific Division standings. The season also took a sad turn after the sudden death of assistant coach Dejan Milojević.

Strictly from a basketball perspective, the Kings' situation is a little similar to the Warriors. Sacramento fell into a slump earlier this month, but it righted the ship with a big win over the Hawks on Monday night.

The Warriors will continue to operate through Stephen Curry, but the two-time MVP can't carry the load all by himself. Golden State is relying on youngsters such as Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski as well as veterans like Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins to step up.

Guard play will be key for the Kings as well with De'Aaron Fox leading the way. Fox is averaging a career-high 27.4 points and shooting 39.0 percent from 3-point range. The wild-card element for Sacramento is ex-Warriors forward Harrison Barnes, who exploded for a team-high 32 points in the win over the Hawks on Monday.
