If you think the 10-0 Warriors can tie or break the record for most wins in an 82-game NBA season, first ask the team's general manager Bob Myers.

Klay Thompson said earlier in the month that while it will be extremely difficult,  Golden State has the talent to win 70 or 72 games . But in an interview with the Bay Area's 95.7 FM on Wednesday, Myers said his team winning 72 games will never be a real thing.

For what it's worth, Stephen Curry has said the team shouldn't focus on the number of wins  and should just be the best it can be.

The Warriors are in the midst of one of the best starts to a regular season of the 21st century, winning eight of their 10 games by 10 points or more. While impressive, winning their first 10 contests isn't exactly an anomaly (14 other teams have done so). However, their ridiculous 17.1 point differential is. The team's decisive victories could be cause for concern for the Michael Jordan and the 1995-96 Bulls, which won 72 games.

And when it comes to advanced metrics, these Warriors have had the hottest start in NBA history, according to FiveThirtyEight's ELO rating.

Many people may expect them to come back to earth eventually, but if Curry keeps playing like this and Golden State's defense remains elite while the offense is efficient, Myers may be happily eating his words at season's end.
