The Warriors responded to their Game 1 loss in the 2022 NBA Finals in a big way.

Led by Stephen Curry, Golden State cruised to a 107-88 victory over Boston in Game 2 to tie the series at 1-1.

Curry was at his best in the third quarter when he posted 14 of his game-high 29 points. The Warriors outscored the Celtics 35-14 in the period to take a commanding lead going into the final frame, this time holding onto it to secure the victory.

Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 28 points for the Celtics, but he shot 8-for-19 from the field. Jaylen Brown started out strong but struggled the rest of the way, finishing with 17 points on 5-for-17 shooting.

Warriors vs. Celtics results, highlights from Game 2 of NBA Finals

(All times Eastern)

Final score: Warriors 107, Celtics 88

10:35 p.m. — That'll do it. The Warriors cruise to a win to take Game 2. We have ourselves a series.

10:27 p.m. — Warriors head coach Steve Kerr takes a timeout with 5:38 remaining. Golden State's lead? 22 points.

10:13 p.m. — The Celtics are going with an all-bench lineup of Payton Pritchard, Derrick White, Aaron Nesmith, Grant Williams and Daniel Theis. This one might be over.

10:09 p.m. — Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. The Celtics are now up to 17 in the game, leading to — are you ready for this? — 33 points for the Warriors.

End of third quarter: Warriors 87, Celtics 64

10:05 p.m. — Wow. The Warriors outscore the Celtics 35-14 in the third quarter to take a — gulp — 23-point lead.

Check out this shot from Jordan Poole:

That's range, folks!

9:59  p.m. — An 11-0 run has Golden State back up by 17 points. Stephen Curry has been terrific. He's up to 29 points on 5-for-11 shooting from 3.

Curry's last 3 was, uh, not easy.

9:54 p.m. — Here come the Celtics. Back-to-back 3s make it a six-point game with 4:32 to go in the third.

9:47 p.m. — Celtics head coach Ime Udoka gets whistled for a technical foul, leading to a free throw for Stephen Curry. (Spoiler: He made it.) Probably don't want to give the greatest shooter of all time too many freebies, though it seemed like Udoka was trying to send a message.

9:44 p.m. — The Warriors are dominating this third quarter. They've outscored the Celtics 13-4 since halftime to take a double-digit lead.

9:37 p.m. — A good sign for Golden State: Klay Thompson knocks down a 3-pointer after starting the game shooting 1-for-10 from the field. The Warriors are going to need more from him in the second half.

Halftime: Warriors 52, Celtics 50

9:18 p.m. — A putback from Andrew Wiggins in the closing seconds of the half gives the Warriors a two-point lead at the break.

Jayson Tatum leads all scorers with 21 points through two quarters of play. Jaylen Brown and Stephen Curry aren't far behind him with 15 points each.

Turnovers continue to hurt the Celtics. They're up to 11 in the game, leading to 18 points for the Warriors.

9:16 p.m. — Draymond Green and Jaylen Brown had a little disagreement.

9:08 p.m. — 21 points for Jayson Tatum. You could say he's feeling it.

9:06 p.m. — You know how Jayson Tatum couldn't buy a shot in Game 1? Well, he already has 19 points in Game 2. He's 1-for-6 from 2-point range but he's 5-for-6 from 3-point range.

9:02 p.m. — Just when you think the Warriors might be in some trouble, they go on a 10-0 run to take the lead.

Stephen Curry got the run started with back-to-back buckets.

8:59 p.m. — This was some impressive defense from Draymond Green on Jaylen Brown:

8:58 p.m. — Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins have combined for eight points on 3-for-17 shooting from the field so far. That's not ideal for the Warriors.

8:53 p.m. — Another tough game for Jordan Poole so far. He's 1-for-5 from the field and just got whistled for an offensive foul on a 3-point attempt.

End of first quarter: Warriors 31, Celtics 30

8:42 p.m. — Stephen Curry hits a floater at the buzzer to give the Warriors a one-point lead after 12 minutes of play. Curry got off to a slow start but found his groove as the quarter progressed, and he's up to 10 points and three assists.

Turnovers have hurt the Celtics so far. They've already coughed the ball up seven times, leading to 13 points for the Warriors.

8:38 p.m. — And now Jayson Tatum has two fouls. Not great for the Celtics.

8:32 p.m. Stephen Curry drives and draws not one, not two, not three, but four defenders and drops a pass off to Kevon Looney for a dunk.

No, seriously:

8:28 p.m. — Worth monitoring: Jaylen Brown picks up his second foul with 3:52 to go in the first quarter. He's checking out of the game.

8:27 p.m. Goodness. Make that 13 first-quarter points for Jaylen Brown.

8:24 p.m. — Gary Payton II checks in for the Warriors with 5:30 remaining in the period. It's the first game he's played in since fracturing his elbow in the second round.

8:18 p.m. Celtics have a 16-11 lead going into the game's first timeout. Jaylen Brown is off to a scorching start with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting from the field and 2-for-2 from 3. He's picking up where he left off.

Pregame

7:30 p.m. — Robert Williams III, Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. are each available, but Andre Iguodala is out with knee inflammation.

3:30 p.m. — Robert Williams III, Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. are listed as questionable for Game 2.
