Victor Wembanyama LNB Finals stats, score: AS Monaco sweeps Mets 92 in NBA Draft prospect's final French game image

Victor Wembanyama is a week away from hearing his name called at the NBA Draft, but he had to complete his French league season first.

On Thursday, Wembanyama and his Metropolitans 92 team were swept in Game 3 of the LNB Pro A Finals, falling to an AS Monaco team that was led by Jordan Loyd, Mike James, and Jaron Blossomgame.

Wembanyama made his presence felt, finishing the game with 22 points on 6-for-11 shooting, adding seven rebounds and four blocks, but it wasn't enough as Monaco continued to claw back before taking control at the end.

Victor Wembanyama concludes his career in the French LNB with 22 points, seven rebounds and four blocks while shooting 6-for-11 from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line.

4:25 p.m. — Jordan Loyd is clutch!

Loyd hits triples on back-to-back possessions to give Monaco a six-point lead with just 25 seconds to go. Monaco is going to come away victorious here to take home the title.

4:17 p.m. — As good as Victor Wembanyama and Mets 92 have been all game, AS Monaco won't go away.

Wembanyama is whistled for a foul as Monaco's Elie Okobo finishes through contact to tie things up at 81. After a timeout, Okobo has an opportunity to give Monaco its first lead of the night.

4:14 p.m. — Make that 22 points in the game for Victor Wembanyama, who is a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line and is 6-for-10 from the field.

His latest bucket is another dunk as he cleans up a mess on the interior.

Victor Wembanyama brings his total for the game up to 16 points on a two-handed jam out of a high-low set on the offensive end.

4:04 p.m. — After sitting to close the third quarter and the opening minute of the fourth, Victor Wembanyama checks in with 9:05 remaining in regulation.

End of Third Quarter: Mets 70, Monaco 63

4:01 p.m. — As scoring slowed down in the third quarter, so did the production of Victor Wembanyama.

As Metropolitans 92 holds on to a seven-point lead, Wembanyama is still sitting on 14 points but is up to five rebounds and two assists in the game.

One more quarter for Mets 92 to extend their season.

3:50 p.m. — Monaco continues to try to chip away but Mets 92 is holding on to a five-point lead. 

Mets 64, Monaco 59. Under four minutes remain in the third.

Halftime: Mets 53, Monaco 44

3:30 p.m. — NBA champion Serge Ibaka is in attendance to check out some LNB Finals action.

3:24 p.m. — Metropolitans 92 takes a nine-point lead into the halftime break and Victor Wembanyama is tied for a game-high with 14 points.

Wembanyama's half consisted of him going 4-for-5 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. In addition to his scoring, Wembanyama has four blocks as well.

Mets 92 can force a Game 4 by building upon this momentum in the second half.

3:14 p.m. — The "Wemby" chants have begun at Roland-Garros.

Victor Wembanyama has 14 points now after banking in a shot on the block before draining a step-back 3 on the next possession.

Mets 92 holds a nine-point lead late in the first half.

3:10 p.m. — Victor Wembanyama is up to nine points in the game and continues to make his presence felt on the defensive end. As a result, Mets 92 has stayed in command.

End of First Quarter: Mets 32, Monaco 23

3 p.m. — With Victor Wembanyama on the sideline, Monaco closes the quarter on a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to nine points.

One quarter is in the books

2:54 p.m. — You couldn't have drawn up a much better start for Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama has seven points after going 1-for-1 from the field and shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. He's added a rebound and a blocked shot. Wembanyama exits the game after seven minutes of action with his team holding a 14-point lead.

2:40 p.m. — It's an early 9-0 lead for Victor Wembanyama and Mets 92, forcing Monaco to call an early timeout.
